In just the past week, two of my favorite podcasters posted episodes about motivation.  Dr. Peter Attia posted an interview with Charles Duhigg about strategic tools for motivation, and Kara Swisher interviewed Mel Robbins about the hacks she uses to change behavior for a better life.  Both podcasts offer a wealth of information on how to improve our habits, along with practical steps to take.

Information about motivation is abundantly available.  On top of this, access to fitness has never been more democratic.  YouTube has literally millions of great workouts that you can stream for free, and if you want a nice home gym, you can pick up an excellent used indoor bike or rower for a few hundred dollars.

With all of these great tools at our disposal, why do fewer than 75% of the US population work out regularly?  The answer is deceptively simple:  no one has cracked the code on creating a truly great motivational product, beyond old-school, very expensive 1:1 coaching.  All this is about to change.

Thanks to the work of Dr. Anna Lambke, Max Bennet, and others, we can build a motivational product starting from first principles rooted in the brain chemistry that drives our decisions.  This, combined with the power of LLMs to process vast amounts of data, means we’re on the cusp of a golden age of motivation.

VitalSpark is bringing this vision to life.  We’re nearing the launch of our MVP, designed to be the cutting-edge motivation layer for products across fitness, healthcare, and beyond.  Visit VitalSpark.io to stay updated on our progress.
